Healthy Halloween

Celebrating 11 Years of Healthy Fun

Healthy Halloween is the Junior League of Pensacola’s annual free community event, offering families a safe, health-focused alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Each year, we serve around 150 children from the community, along with pediatric patients at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital who may otherwise miss out on Halloween festivities due to illness or hospitalization.

About the Event

For over a decade, Healthy Halloween has brought joy, creativity, and wellness to children across the Pensacola Bay Area. Kids enjoy crafts, games, activities, and healthy treats—all in a safe environment designed to make Halloween special for everyone.

Our members also bring the celebration directly into Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, helping restore a sense of normalcy and fun for children and families spending the holiday in a medical setting. In years past, we have branched out and also held the event at several area community centers but back in 2025, we brought the event back to its original location, Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital.

Our Volunteers in Action

Healthy Halloween is hosted annually by our Community Impact Committee and made possible through the dedication of Junior League members. This event has become a beloved tradition, giving our volunteers the chance to live out our mission while making a tangible difference in children’s lives.

Looking Back

For the past 11 years, Healthy Halloween has grown into one of our most meaningful volunteer opportunities. What began as a small initiative has become a lasting tradition, touching the lives of thousands of children and families. Each year, Junior League members bring energy, creativity, and compassion to ensure every child—whether in the community or in the hospital—has the chance to celebrate Halloween in a joyful, healthy way.

Join the Junior League of Pensacola for our annual Healthy Halloween on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1:30–3:30 PM at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital’s Dudley Greenhut Auditorium. This free event provides a safe, fun, and health-focused alternative to trick-or-treating for local families and brings the Halloween spirit to pediatric patients who may otherwise miss out.
